We are now looking for a Partner Engineer for the Camera Modules and Embedded Platforms on the behalf of our client

Job Description:

The client is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled individual to join their Technology Promotion Department (TPRD) at Sony in Lund as an engineer for their Automotive project. The Automotive project is focused on hardware and software solutions for the next generation automotive platforms. The successful candidate will be the main responsible for testing, evaluating, and developing hardware and software solutions as well as creating intuitive and innovative content to enable internal and external partners to use Sony products. The work will include creating fast turn-around applications or tutorials using the APIs to ease the onboarding for customer.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough testing of Sony camera modules, SDKs, and automotive computing platforms to ensure optimal performance, functionality, and compatibility.
• Document best practices, create sample code projects, write tutorials and developer guides to promote and educate the developer-users.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team in Japan to provide valuable feedback based on test results, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
• Create comprehensive documentation for Sony products, including user manuals, technical specifications, and application notes, enabling external engineers to effectively test, evaluate, and develop proof of concept devices using Sony technology.
• Own and maintain a dedicated web page that hosts the documentation and acts as a primary support platform, handling user tickets and utilizing CRM functionalities.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the latest computing platforms, camera modules, and SDKs, staying up-to-date with advancements in the field.
• Provide first-line support and educational assistance to external customers as well as internal Sony entities in Europe, such as sales and external relations departments, ensuring they are well-informed about Sony technology capabilities and features.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in software development, camera technologies, or working with automotive computing platforms like NVIDIA Jetson or Drive, Qualcomm, or Texas Instruments.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
• The ability and willingness to take initiative and responsibility in tasks and projects
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and interpret test results.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders in different geographical locations.
• A self-driven and proactive mindset, coupled with a willingness to learn and contribute to the team's success.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in documenting technical products or creating user manuals.
• Knowledge of CRM systems and ticket management tools.
• Familiarity with web development and maintenance.
• Previous exposure to Sony technologies and products.
• AI or Machine learning experience.
