Background

We are looking for a Lead Solution Architect for our client in banking. In this role you will

• be part of a team of architects and responsible for the architectural management and goals of the project
• act as an advisor on issues related to design and architecture. The assignment involves close collaboration with other employees in architecture and daily IT delivery, project managers, information security experts and suppliers.
• Responsible for both design issues and being an operational support in the daily delivery and projects in close collaboration with our suppliers. The consultant will be responsible for architectural control in daily operations and projects and ensure that our client's IT principles and guidelines are complied with.

Main tasks :

• Work closely with initiatives and projects to ensure architectural roadmap
• Ensure that architecture developed in projects and initiatives is documented in accordance with applicable instructions and complies with governing principles.
• Coordinate contemporary project needs and dependencies and architectural governance to ensure that governing principles are followed.
• Responsible for the architectural management of projects and initiatives so that changes are implemented with high quality and in an appropriate, efficient and sustainable manner in accordance with our client's mission, priorities and business plan (goals and activities).
• Communicate, anchor and concretize relevant information both downwards to your own organization and upwards as a basis for decisions in a broader perspective

Experience and characteristics

• Solid experience in developing architectural descriptions and models and relevant experience in performing the tasks described above
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Ability to take a holistic view
• Good knowledge in multiple technical domains and understanding of complex transformations from legacy to new technology
• Good understanding of different needs for solutions and system support within different parts of a business
• Understanding of capability, process, conceptual and information modeling, and requirements management
• Has overall knowledge of business model design, goal modeling and service design.
• Has overall knowledge of IT capabilities and the current IT landscape, its complexity and the opportunities and limitations this creates in different scenarios.
• Understanding of development in container-based systems, such as Kubernetes and CI/CD processes
• Experience with modeling tools such as SPARX Enterprise Architect or other tools
• Has a good ability to describe, model, visualize and analyze even complex structures and relationships
• Good ability to identify and understand the organization's needs from a customer perspective.
• Good knowledge of the rules that apply to the licensed activities that our client conducts.
• Has the ability to understand and relate to the organization's purpose, goals and strategies
• Knowledge of process models
• Ability to lead workshops with both business and IT experts as participants
• Works in a structured manner and has analytical skills
