Job Description - Technical Integration Architect (D365 FO)

We’re looking for a highly skilled Technical Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO), with a strong focus on designing and implementing integrations across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in integration architecture, middleware technologies, and cross-platform data flows, and will play a key role in shaping scalable, secure, and sustainable integration solutions.


Background

You are a technically proficient architect with a strong understanding of D365 FO and Commerce platforms, and a proven ability to design and deliver complex integration solutions. You are comfortable working across the full lifecycle of solution delivery—from early ideation and requirements gathering to architecture, development, testing, and deployment. You are also an effective communicator who can collaborate across technical and business teams.


Main tasks in the assignment

• Lead the technical design and architecture of integrations between D365 FO and external/internal systems.

• Define integration patterns and best practices for APIs, data pipelines, and middleware (e.g., Azure Logic Apps, Data Factory, Power Platform).

• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.

• Collaborate with functional architects, developers, and product teams to translate business needs into robust integration solutions.

• Document integration designs, data contracts, and operational procedures.

• Provide technical leadership in integration testing, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

• Coach team members on integration best practices and D365 extensibility models.


Following competences must be fulfilled:

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect in D365 FO projects.

• Deep knowledge of D365 data entities and integration frameworks.

• Strong understanding of Azure integration services and Power Platform.

• Experience with middleware platforms and enterprise service buses (ESBs).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in agile, product-oriented, and collaborative environments.



Desired knowledge & experience

• Relevant certifications in D365 FO, Commerce, and Azure integration technologies.

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for integration delivery.

• Familiarity with retail, supply chain, and financial processes is a plus.
